Program Plan

On July 9, 2008, Ontario’s Minister of the Environment, the Hon. John Gerretsen approved the waste diversion program plan for Phase 1 Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) materials. This Plan began implementation on April 1, 2009.

The Minister’s approval of the Phase 1 Plan initiated work toward the development of a Program Plan that included Phase 2 WEEE materials, as required in the Minister’s 2007 Program Request Letter. The Revised (Phase 1 and 2) WEEE Program Plan was approved by the Minister on August 14, 2009, to be implemented on April 1, 2010.
